The Lincoln Camera Club holds both a local and regional monthly digital competition. Entries are judged at our local competition and top finishers are then sent on to PSA (Photographic Society of America) to compete against, and be judged by, other clubs from around the world. The competition year runs fall through spring.
Our main goal for these competitions is to provide our members a chance to submit photos and receive constructive feedback on how you are doing, what you’ve done perfectly and how you can improve.
Regular Lincoln Camera Club meetings are held the 3rd Tuesdays of each month, 7:00 p.m.
Special meeting dates and times are announced
in December for Holiday Dinner and in May for Salon
as well as for outings and events.

Every month, unless noted, we participate in a local photography competition. You can view what categories you can participate by following this link.
Regional Competitions (PSA)
Please see calendar for submission closing dates, judging dates and themes.
From September through June (unless noted) we participate in a regional photography competition for PSA (Photographic Society of America). All photos that place during the local competition will be submitted to their scheduled categories for the PSA competition.
Annual Local Competition
In May of each year we will have the Year-end local photo competition judging. Any photo that placed with a HM or higher in our local competition during the year is automatically entered into this competition. Three judges, who are from outside of the club, will re-judge all the photos for this final competition. This is a closed meeting and only the competition chair and judges may attend. Winners of this Best of the Best competition are announced at the club's annual May Salon & Banquet.
You must be a member in good standing with Lincoln Camera Club to be eligible to enter monthly competitions. A current membership list will be used for verification. All entries must be the original work of the entrant.

About the Judging
Judging is done on the basis of technique, composition, and interest. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and Honorable Mention. Winners will be picked for each photo category. Though you can enter two photos per category, you can only have one placing photo for the category. Photos that place in an awarded position will be submitted to the regional PSA competition.
Camera club members are invited and encouraged to attend the judging meetings.
LCC offers two themed categories each month: one with a subject theme, and one with a technique theme. These photos are not submitted for PSA. Photos entered into a Themed competition can be resubmitted at another time for a PSA-eligible category, if you wish. Entry procedure is the same as for all other categories. See the entry page for each month's themes.
